Gift Purpose
Gift purposes are designated for unit use and are not included in the reporting completed by UVAFinance. The use of gift funds may be specified for purposes such as professorships, fellowships, scholarships, books, teaching, research, lectures, etc., that can be supported by varying amounts of funding. A gift must be set up with an appropriate primary gift purpose and an alternative purpose can be designated if desired by the unit.
A list of the most common gift purpose selections has been provided below. Additional purpose selections may be added within Workday on an ad hoc basis and may not be defined within the list provided.
