Cancel Card or Transfer Departments

Cancel Card

Please follow these steps to cancel your T&E Card:

  1. Open the T&E Card Change Request Form and select "Cancel Card" from the drop-down. Complete the form and submit.
  2. Expense all T&E Card transactions in Workday as soon as possible, but within 30 days of incurring the charges. 
  3. Destroy the card and throw it away once canceled. 
Transfer to New Department

If you are a current T&E cardholder and will need a T&E card in your new role, you will need to cancel your current card then apply for a new one.

  1. Open the T&E Card Change Request Form and select "Cancel Card" from the drop-down. Complete the form and submit.
  2. Remove your card from any recurring charges such as subscriptions or auto-billed accounts and TravelUVA profiles.
  3. Expense all T&E Card transactions from your current department in Workday before applying for a new card.
  4. Apply for a new card by following the instructions on the Apply for a T&E Card page. If your card training is current you will not need to complete training again. Note: It may take 2-3 business days before the T&E Application is populated with your new department's information.
