Executive Summary of the Contract
Reservations:
In order to obtain discount, travel must be booked through one of the following methods:
Individual Reservations
- Book online at TravelUVA
- Call Christopherson Business Travel at 844-4UVA-CBT (844-488-2228) M-F 8am – 8pm.
- Anthony Travel – Athletics only - JillStevens@anthonytravel.com
- Call the hotel directly and request the UVA rate.
*Payment Information: Please contact the hotel directly after booking if you wish to arrange payment for a guest on your T&E card and provide them with your card number over the phone or provide it through a secure site like Sertifi. A written third-party credit card authorization form is not required. Card information should never be sent over email or fax. The traveler will still need to present a card in their name at check-in for incidentals.
Group/Event Reservations
- Contact the hotel sales director (contact specified above) with your booking request.
- The hotel will send the department contact a copy of the UVA Order Confirmation Document (OCD) specifying the group/event details.
- The OCD refers back to the master agreement terms/conditions and should not include any new terms.
- The department may sign/initial this document to confirm their booking.
- Note: All other bookings not on UVA’s official Order Confirmation Document must still be sent to Procurement for signature.

Personal Travel Discounts
Sonesta offers UVA employees a Business Pass discount of 12% on personal travel bookings at any Sonesta location in the U.S. or Canada for individual bookings (1-9 people), groups (10-20 people), and meeting facilities.

- Go to Sonesta.com/locations to look up specific destinations. Business Pass discounts are available at US or Canada hotels only.
- On the hotel website, enter the dates of stay. Then under the “Rates” dropdown, select Corporate/Promo and enter the UVA corporate code in this box.
