MANDATORY FEES

Students enrolled at the University of Virginia are assessed mandatory fees that assist in paying for the facilities and services available to students (for example, Technology Fee, University Transit, Newcomb Hall, Athletics, etc.).

It should be noted, mandatory fees are not based on a student’s use of facilities or services, all students are encouraged to take advantage of the benefits the fees provide, and all mandatory fees are approved annually by the Board of Visitors.
