Paymode FAQ for Vendors

Paymode FAQ for Vendors

1. Why is UVA transitioning away from PaymentWorks ACH?
UVA is moving to Bank of America’s Paymode ACH and ePayables to streamline payment processes, reduce fees, and improve efficiency.

2. What are my payment options?
You may be eligible for Paymode (Basic or Premium tiers) or ePayables. Most vendors will enroll in Paymode with Net 30 terms.

3. How will I know if I’m eligible for ePayables?
Vendors selected for ePayables will be contacted directly by Bank of America as part of a targeted outreach campaign.

4. What happens if I do nothing?
Vendors who do not enroll in Paymode by the stated deadline will be transitioned to paper check payments with Net 45 terms.

5. I already enrolled in Paymode during Phase 1. Do I need to do anything?
No further action is needed if you have already transitioned to Paymode during Phase 1.

6. I’m a student organization or individual payee. What should I expect?
You are excluded from this transition. UVA is evaluating Zelle as an alternative payment method for your group. More details will follow.

7. Who can I contact for help?
Please contact askfinance@virginia.edu with any questions or concerns.
