New Workday Alerts: Payroll and Grants

New alerts for missing roles

A good rule of thumb for Workday:  "When roles are empty, business processes stall."

Our Business Intelligence Team has partnered with functional areas to proactively identify vacant roles and alert business process owners.  (See this article on alerts for missing roles from August.)

Some new alerts are now in place to identify issues in these grants-related roles:

  • Missing roles such as Grant PI, Grant Financial Analyst, Grant Account Certifier, Grant Manager
  • Missing CC Sponsored Program Managers 
  • Missing OSP Grant Roles
  • Missing Award Analyst Roles
  • Missing Lead Principal Investigator Roles
  • Conflicting Role Assignments
Payroll Costing Managers will be alerted if active workers are missing current payroll costing worktags and/or if the costing is in the suspense program.
