Though new to UVAFinance, Tosh Thompson is no stranger to UVA. With over 13 years, most recently at the UVA Heat Plant, Thompson was ready for something different that provided more of a challenge.
In his role within Procurement and Supplier Diversity Services, Thompson will work mostly with Joel Krieder and Song Song. As a Sourcing Specialist, Thompson’s primary responsibilities are to turn requests for money/products into orders, read contracts, and to be a good steward of the University’s funds.“I love this position,” Thomspon said when asked about his thoughts on his new role. “I have learned a tremendous amount about finance and state regulations.”
Outside of work, Thompson loves spending time with his three daughters, two of which are in high school and one in elementary school. He also enjoys playing golf and traveling. He has even been to every continent except Antarctica!
