Students and Non-Employees can Apply for a T&E Card under the following conditions:
- They have an active profile in Workday and are paid via payroll.
- They are registered as a Contingent Worker in Workday if they are not paid via payroll.
- If they need to be registered as a Contingent Worker, they must be sponsored by an Academic employee. A background check will take place and may take a few weeks to complete. Contact card@virginia.edu for instructions on registering a Contingent Worker.
Once in Workday, the student/non-employee will be eligible to apply for a T&E card and will be set up correctly to expense their T&E Card transactions. If unsure about Workday status, please contact card@virginia.edu for assistance.
