UVA's Supplier Engagement team maintains relationships with small and diverse business advocacy organizations, including:
UVA works directly with Virginia's Department of Small Business and Supplier Diversity (SBSD) to host several certification/recertification workshops each year. Typically, these one-on-one workshops are conducted in Carruthers Hall with only SBSD's regional rep and company owners/reps in the room. SBSD will work with each company to ensure all required supporting documents are uploaded electronically into their system. SBSD will also assist with certification application.
